I noticed my recovery drive on my computer is filled up to only 375 MB free out of like 6.6 GB. My computer is set from the factory to do periodic restore points and after updates and stuff. Why would it be filling up like that? Thanks for any help.

the contents of the recovery drive are not related to the system restore feature in vista
the only reason the contents of the recovery partition should be changing is if updates are applied
That looks like a fine amount of free space

Ok, it's just that Windows and HP, etc are saying it's an unacceptable amound of free space.

The drive is almost full because HP sized it to be just big enough to fit the recovery information, so most of the drive could be used by you. But, Windows can see that and thinks the drive is getting full, and needs to be "cleaned up". The drive is not filling up or changing size at all (unless you are saving stuff to it).

I think it's a silly oversight on HP/Vista's part to annoy a new user with something like this.
