    I just got the Pavilion dv2000t a week ago and had downloaded some sort of virus that completely killed Windows.


    anyway, where can i download the system restore softeare the HP tech is talking about? the c:\ was formated. so now i cant create restore cds. or can i?

    You can order the recovery DVD's from HP but I dont think you will be able to download anything...

    Also if only C:/ was formatted then you might still be able to access the recovery partition on the HDD. Check your user manual for the exact steps. if even this cannot be accessed then your only option would be to order the DVD from HP and wait until it arrives.

    Ye, i've already done so. Had no choice but to overnight them $26.99

    The biggest problem is that you cant even download the ethernet driver from the site. When i asked them about it, the responce was "the notebook is too new and the drivers are not yet available.
