I'd use GParted to remove the partitions you no longer want and then resize the remaining one you wish to keep.

    GParted Live CD

    GParted Homepage

It is free, fast and fully functional. Basically it is a very specialized build of Linux that is setup to boot into a Linux environment from the CD with all the menus configured to be easy to understand for non-linux users.

Ary you using Vista or XP? If XP try the above solution. If you are using Vista then try the built in partition manager and see if it can extend the vista partition to the entire disk.

You can also get a demo of Acronis Disk Directory Suite, which is fully functional. It is very easy to use and it will allow you to delete the unwanted partitions and merge them with any partition you want. This is simply a program you can install inside Windows and then uninstall when you are done with what you need.

The HP recovery manager software can delete the partition and merge it with the rest of the C:.
