I have upgraded my computer from windows xp to windows vista home premium. But the recovery partition that was there in my laptop is no longer there. My laptop has 80gb hard disk space and the size of c drive is 74gb(appox) so the recovery partition space is not available.

So i would like to know how can i get the recovery partition and how can i burn new recovery dvds. i want the original method (like the one made by hp) and not process where u have to make a image of ur hard disk and burn on dvd.

I would also like to know how i can add the icon of webcam to my computer like it was under windows xp.

The recovery partition for Windows XP is useless when you have installed Vista and the only way to recreate that partition would be by using the recovery DVD which you should have created and installing XP and then upgrading to Visa without formatting the recovery partition. Even then the recovery partition wont be accessible from Vista since it is designed to work with the stock XP insallation only.

Your answer is "Paragon Partition Manager"

This fantastic softwear will let you partition anywhere you want without having to do a full reinstall. It will move allocated space on your HD even now, thou you have all kinds of files already on the HD.

When i bought my Asus G2 the C Drive was a huge 80 gigs while the D was 70gigs. Paragon let me change C Drive to 25gigs and it allocated the space to D Drive. And it did it all in about 15 mins.

Acronis True Image makes a disk backup program that allows imaging of the hard drive to CD/DVD, a external hard drive .... AND/OR a "restore/recovery" partition on the hard disc itself...

JUST like the HP, press F11 deal.... Restore/Recovery partition is on the hard disc itself....

BTW If you're planning on running Vista... you might want to check out this info:
