Installed Windows Vista RC1 on DV2000t yesterday. Boy, that was fun (not sarcasm).
Vista recognized all the devices and installed proper drivers except the media card readers (piece of cake).
You do need to install the audio driver that came with HP to enable the microphone on the system.
To enable Aero on nVidia cards, you must download the Vista drivers from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ with their modified INF file to install the driver for your nVidia 7200 (for dv2000t).
Anyway, I am typing this post on Vista now. The only component that doesn't work is..well, you guess it.. QuickPlay. It is okay though. I don't care for that feature. And even if you don't install the drivers from HP for QP, Vista won't crash and burn, unlike Xp. -
somebody told me that the recovery partition will be recreated if you do a full recovery (factory defaults) from the recovery disc set? anybody who already tried this?
