    ive got a hp pavilion dv9823em notebook and one of my friends formatted my recovery partition drive. for some reason i didnt make recovery cd either now i want to reboot my notebook, it wont let me. is there anyway i can reboot it?

    You will need to contact HP and request a set of Recovery Media or get a hold of a HP Windows CD and then download the appropriate drivers for your notebook.

    What do you mean it wont let you reboot? Your computer wont start or you cant shut it off?
