This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Recovery disk error with high quality DVD

    I'm in the process of making recover discs for my brother's new dv6-3023, but the last disc had an "error" and it prompted me to add another of a "high quality" one to retry. I've been through 4 blank DVDs with this problem already.

    I was using Verbatim DVD+R and I am aware that Verbatim is a high quality brand of blank media. I also read that HP's usually prefer +R compared to -R so why would it be giving me this problem?
