Looks pretty sweet - is it valid for purchases from before July 18?

Note that if you register for the free songs, you can NO LONGER RMA. So before you register for the songs, make sure your laptop has no problems.

Yep, I'd say to play with your laptop for those 21 days that you have and then do this.

This is HP's way of saying that we know we have quality issues, but let us try and trick you into not being able to return your laptop. :)

I already have an RMA and it didn't work. It's matching the model and serial number to a build date. So since I re-ordered on the 19th I should qualify this time around, only if there are no issues on my second unit.

BTW anyone check the music out? 400K doesn't sound like much of a library and hopefully it's not b-side rap and pop. It's probably DRM ridden and crappy mp3 format.

I still only buy optical media music and only grab the "digital" stuff when it's legally free (read: Pepsi points for crappy itunes, free Amazon rewards, etc).

Ah, the joy of Google China's music service... Since piracy's so big there, they give the music out for free (though the selection is rather limited at times) while sharing ad revenue with the labels. The labels that participate seem to have decided that it's better to get some revenue than no revenue. Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't take more advantage of it...
