    Greetings :)

My laptop is hp envy dv7205tx
    I m currently running windows 8 64bit
But I prefer running windows 7 cause I m more used to that

I just bought this laptop and I can't boot into bios like the old laptops I had.
So how can I format my laptop from windows 8 to windows 7?

    Thank you.:hi2:

Stick Windows 7 installation media in, begin installation, format, install.
You may have issues with some drivers by the way.

Also, do consider that it's kind of against the rules to make duplicate threads.

gvimlan: I agree, they don't make this easy...

    The cliff notes:
Start the laptop and press F9 - this will get you into the BIOS.

Once in the BIOS, turn on legacy OS support - not sure which menu, but sure you can figure it out once in the BIOS.

    Save and exit the BIOS

(confirm the BIOS changes by entering a number list on the monitor)

put the Win7 disk and press the space bar... have fun
