    Hello all :)

I recently was given a problematic HP Pav DV6500 laptop. I'm a novice when it comes to computers. and even more so when it comes to laptops. What I did was take out the harddrive, hook it up to my desktop rig, and formatted it. First with quick, then with the longer version. My goal is to install Windows XP, of which I have a disk. But, when I go to install, it is not recognizing the HD now.
    Any thoughts?
    thanks in advance :)
