I have a DV6000T purchased in January 2007. So far its been great, but I would like to wipe it out and reformat the comp.

    ?s
    1. I made the HP Recovery Discs (this is on Media Center Edition), would I just put the discs in, and it would reformat and basically make it the out of the box laptop I got in 2007?

    2. How do you remove the bloatware that comes after a fresh install?

    3. If I wanted to change the hard drive (to solid state or spin), could I just install the os through the recovery discs?

    4. How much RAM can I upgrade this thing too (Its a Media Center Edition 2003, believe it is 32 bit).

I basically want to get my computer to be like new again with an upgraded RAM, and possibly A new hard drive.

I am trying to see if all I need is the recovery discs and drivers disc.

    Thank you ;)

    1) Yes, it brings it like it was out of the box.

    2) You have to uninstall them 1 by 1 . I suggest you do a clean install if you have access to a Retail/OEM vista disk. Read the clean install sticky for more info

    3) Yes

    4) 3-4gb
