Hello, I bought a Dv6 about a week ago, and a few days after I bought it, a better coupon came out, so I ordered another Dv6 using the better coupon.

Is refusing delivery of the first laptop a viable option? Has anybody ever refused delivery from HP before? Even though RMA seems like more of a hassle, should I RMA the laptop instead of Refusing delivery?

    Thanks,
    po1son

Do an RMA. HP has a 21 day no questions asked return policy, why not make use of that instead of refusing delivery which would only complicate things further. I have done HP RMA's a few times and its been relatively pain free process. They send you shipping label, you ship it (dont forget to write RMA number on box) and once they receive the laptop the refund is credited within 3-4 days.

What miner said. HPs return policy is fantastic. Just call/chat with customer service and they will email you a shipping label right away.

RMA is the way to go, you can use the system for the 21 days, just be sure to do the RMA before the 21 days.

So I can play around with the first one for a few days, then RMA it before the 21 days? Or does it have to be new to RMA it?

You can use it for 21 days and then request an RMA. I have actually ordered a quick-ship model and a CTO on model on the same day so I can use the quick-ship until the CTO comes.
