I have a friend who needs me to re-install xp pro on her compaq nx9010.

I found the link to HP's drivers for this unit .. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...esId=321850&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093

She doesn't have any of the original disks, but I do have a XP pro disc and the serial # that came with her laptop is still on the bottom.

How do I go about doing this?

Just slap the xp pro disc in and start installing?

If you have a multi-volume license XP pro disk. You may be able to use the license key from the notebooks COA.

I ended up using my xp pro disc that was for system builders, OEM version, and the license key from the notebook.

    Thanks for the help.
