I've not been able to find the search box for checking if anyone else has had this same problem, so here goes...
I bought this laptop about a year and a half ago. warranty void. speakers f'ed up and are now relaying the sound of a click usually at some pace related to one of the fans.
i finally got replacement speakers, and i thought replacing them would be pretty easy to figure out. however, about 30 screws later i've realized my error of assumption and already feel like a idiot for not having asked in a forum first.
I need schematics on disassembling the3 lap top to the point of speaker access. or just a simple help file. although, i'm sure it's not quite that simple. i thought the speakers, when purchased, would come with a mini-installation guide or something, but i guess i was aiming a little high with my expectations.
if anyone could help, that would be great. i'm already beginning to think i'm going to have to find a new laptop because of this mess of FUBAR i've created. thanks for any help in advance.
sincerely,
fear and loathing on my kitchen table.

I've not done this procedure myself, but here is the V6000 Maintenance & Service Guide http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01035886.pdf
