    Removing bottom casing.

    How do you take off the black, bottom part of a DV9000? The fan is making a humming noise and would like to check it out.

    I dont believe you can remove just the bottom case as is. If you want to acess the fans you will most likely have to disassemble the whole notebook. take a look at the service manual for detailed steps on dismantling the laptop.

    Removing the bottom is disassembling the entire machine on the Pavilions.
