    Removing hdd password

    I'm replacing a hdd in a DV9000 with an nvidia chipset. The hard drive i got has a password set, I know the password but how do I enter it in to remove it? Short of actually getting the original laptop it was from, is there a Seagate utility that allows this? I tried seatools but no password options.
