I need to be able to remove my keyboard to upgrade to 2GB, and for some reason can't. Their are two screws on the bottom marked keyboard, but after those are removed the keyboard is still firmly in place. I also removed the screw to the touchpad to see if that would help, but to no avail.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Im not positive, but if its like any other compaq/hp here is what you do, you take those two screws out that say keyboard, then you open the screen all the way. You put a flat blade screwdriver into the slots behind the F1, F5, F11 and insert keys. (the screwdriver should be angled towards the screen you are not prying the keyboard up but the panel in front of it. Once you pry the panel (switch cover) up it should pop out. Then you will see clearly 2 screws that hold the keyboard down. Take those out and your keyboard is out and good to go.

Make sure your ram really loads under the keyboard, mines from the bottom but I have no experience with your laptop so just be sure.

    Hope this helped you out.

I figured it out. You have to pull back four knobs/switch, located between function keys, that hold the keyboard in place.

    Thanks for the help
