had my laptop for almost a year now and called HP to renew my ADP (accidental damage) plan for 2 more years. Had purchased one year when i ordered from Costco last Sept.

The tech told me that I would have to wait until my present policy expired and then call back for options. He could not see any options at this time with about 36 days left on present warranty.

Should I be worried about not being able to renew through HP? What are your experiences on this, especially if you bought from Costco last year or even if you bought from somewhere else and need to renew? Thanks.

I dont have any specific information about extending ADP's but I extended my standard 1yr warranty to another year just last week with about 17 days left on the present warranty. Call back again and enquire before your present warranty expires you might hear a different story from another CSR.

Thank you much. Will try that and report back if anything different happens. Anyone else know from experience?
