    I have an HP9616 laptop with Vista O/S.How do I delete Vista and install XP Pro?

    Obtain an XP disc with license and install XP.

    Boot from XP Disk
    Select/Allow Reformat

    Wait for installation, Then you will have XP.

    Backup your files, reformatting erases all HDD Data.
