I've tried searching the forums, without finding anything particularly relevant. I may ofcourse have missed something, in which case I apologize.

Anyway. I'm considering replacing the hard disk (80GB 5400rpm) in my laptop, with a larger (120GB+) and faster ( 7200rpm ) hard disk. Has anybody here done this before? I have a few questions concerning this.

    - Will it void my warranty?
    - Will any 2.5" SATA disk do? Or do I need a specific model? I'm especially thinking of the HP Mobile Data Protection. Does this software require special hard disks?
