I took the panel off and it appears to have a part number LTN160AT02-H01. Regardless if I search ebay for a replacement, I see what I believe are replacement panels that are LED backlit using LCD to LED converters. I also think the inverter is no longer used. So where are all the real panels and is this type of "conversion" okay? Some have a thre year warranty. It's scary enough getting a panel off ebay but I feel better if its from a chopped up PC, not this stuff.

I tried yesterday to look for that part number in eBay, for some reason I didn't find anything. However just a google search resulted in several dealers selling displays and descriptions in all of those I checked said they were regular CCFL-backlit LCD's.

Do you have link to one of those converted ones, I'm curious to see it :)

Apologies for the delay, I thought I would get an email if someone posted here. I don't want to post links, but if you go on ebay (U.S.), search for ltn160at02, sort by best match, anything under $200 is really an LED panel with a converter cable installed. In fact, if you scroll down you'll see the converter cables themselves priced around $15.

I'm just about to post a question if anyone has tried to use the converter cables to go from Samsung original ltn160at02 (CCFL) to Samsung knockoffs tn160at06 (LED) using the cables.

I believe most of those prices are well north of $150, shortage perhaps of those panels? If not, I'd like to know which ones are selling ccfl for less than $150.
