    I am looking for comments on the HP DV6648SE or the DV66xx computer line.

    My main issues are fan noise, heat, and quality of keyboard/screen.

    Same as the 6500 line, and even the 6000 line. To be quite honest, it's going to be similar to any of the 2,6,9xxx pavillions.

    Hi, I just bought an HPdv6648se, and so far so good. core 2 duo 1.5 ghz, 2g ram. 348 shared video memory. The screen is glossy and very sharp. Of course hp's got to trough in every ap they own and try to lure you into total hp domination of your pictures, emails, messaging. Just shoo all that crap away on the get go. The machine is fast. I'm going to try HDV editing on it with 2 gigs of ram but my cameras in the shop for about 2 weeks. Canon xha1 if anyone cares. It does eminate some heat, matter of fact I feel it in my rists as I type. You can hear the fan when it kicks on but not that annoying, very quiet. Video looks great on this pc. Plus it has a remote. And lightscribe dvd 2layer=the sweetness. For about 900 bucks you can go wrong! I've had it a week and no buyers remorse so far.
