Restocking Fee??

Hello,

I was wondering if Hp charges like %15 restocking fee if I decide to return a laptop withintheir 21days return guarantee......... or is the return process totally free..like free shipping and stuff..

Also, if I make a return, how long will the refund process usually take??

There is no restocking fee on hardware returned within 21 days of you receiving the product. This means that even if you ordered it 30 days ago, but received it 20 days ago you can still return it. That goes for the warranty as well. Software though is another story, any opened software there will be a restocking fee.

I just returned my dv9500t, which was opened and used for about a week, and got a full refund. As far as refunding goes, if you use your HP card to order it will be refunded as soon as they receive the item, I'm not sure how fast it is if you used another payment option.

Basically, you have 21 days since you received the laptop to return it back. You call them up and then they authorize the return and give you an RMA number and send the shipping label. Once you receive the shipping label, just pack up the laptop + whatever shipped with it back into the box and ship it back to HP. The refund is processed after HP receive the laptop and usually your account gets credited within a week. They will refund you the full amount including shipping and taxes.

Oh yes, does anyone know if you can get more discount if you order a laptop on the phone rather than on-line?? I think one of the Hp salesperson mentioning about giving more discount if ordered on the phone...

 

Right now they have the 30% off coupon, which they don't accept over the phone. Almost 100% of the time, at least in my cases and cases I've heard of, you get a cheaper price online because of the online coupons. Hurry up though, because the 30% coupon isn't going to be around for long and its the best deal I've seen on any HP laptop.

 

Who will pay for the return shipping of the laptop to HP?
