I read in the review that this unit has a 30 day return policy. Is this the case even if I buy it from a reseller and not from HP?

    Thanks

A reseller's return policy will vary. Newegg, for instance, does not accept returns on notebooks. I do believe that they will exchange for a defective unit, however.

So this 30 day return policy is only from HP then...

HP return policy is 21 days.

    http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/return_exchange.do

The HP Home & Home Office Store will accept product returns and exchanges up to 21 days after delivery, except on opened, boxed software and excluding gift cards except where required by law. After the 21 day period has ended, support for defective merchandise will be provided by HP customer care.

Correct, its a HPshopping online store policy. Not a general HP policy.

That's for HP Home Office, but the HP 8510p is part of HP Business, which may be different.
