spoke to the hp representative about returning my hp dv7t quad edition laptop. reason for return: intel's revelation about the design flaw in the chip accompanying the sandy bridge processor.
the representative said that intel is expected to come out with a fix to the problem in mid-april and i can return it immediately after that. she said hp will send me an email to let me know when intel has fixed the problem.
they will accept returns till april 30th she said.

my problem: i have thrown away the packing in which my laptop came. the lady said i will have to manage obtaining a bag for the laptop on my own. she said perhaps fedex will help out with the packaging. any suggestions for me regarding how i should pack my laptop when i return it to hp?

another question: i got a discount of $250 when i purchased the hp dv7tqe laptop. should i stick to getting the same laptop or should i try getting an hp envy 17 3D? i am hoping the envy with sandy bridge would be out by april. any info on this would be helpful. thanks.
