The max multiplier of the T9400 is 9.5x, and RMClock does not recognise half multipliers, so the max recgonised for your CPU is 9x.
266*9.5 = 2527 (2.53GHz)
266*9.0 = 2394 (2.39GHz)
IDA is a work-around, but is said to be buggy !!
A 140MHz slowdown per core ain't gonna make a difference in performance. -
Your question was answered in the dv5t lounge :\.
No half multipliers. -
Thaxs for the info andy.
I didnt know what no half multipliers was but andy showed me now i get it -
thats weird... i have t9400 sony vaio sr and i also did the undervolting, but my cpu clock shows 2.53 when i stress test it with orthos. i dont see the 2.39 as mentioned.
-
If your reading the 2.53ghz from ORTHOS then that would be incorrect. ORTHOS will always display the max speed of your CPU.
Use CPU-z -
during the stress testing, it showed 252X mhz of cpu speed... well, i hope the problem has been fixed, im just trying to confirm im running at 2.53ghz.

If you underclock your notebook with rightmark you will only get 2.39ghz guess we have to wait for a update to support half multipliers. I tryed crystalcpuid it has the half multipliers but when i try and use it i get Bsod.
Rightmark t9400 help dv5t max Ghz is 2.39
