I have a dv2810nr which is a similar model with AMD 2.0 GHz with 3g of ram and just an integrated video card and I have no problems playing back h.264 mkv files or any h.264 files for that matter. I think it depends more on the resolution. If its really high rez like 720p, there may be some stuttering.

On my old v3000 with 2.gb ram, integrated graphics and MCE 2005 playback was fine as long as I wasn't trying to run adobe or something else as well.
