    SATA drive very slow in DV2000T reinstall

    Anyone else have this problem? It seems much slower than my normal 4200 ide drive i had before. ALOT slower. I did everything as per reinstall instructions here (I didn't have the swsetup folder saved so I had a hard time guessing what was what) and everything looks ok in dev mgr but it's just slowwww. Any ideas anyone?

    XP Pro SP2 with Ryan's update pack.
    2 gigs OCZ 5400 ram
    160 gb Hitachi Travelstar 5K160 SATA perp drive

    edit> I'm thinking it's maybe because I installed the chipset drivers dead last after seeing that they were really necessary. (I think I got confused with the video drivers and skipped it since there were a few things named chipset. Then I saw it at the very end of the install.) The first time I loaded up windows the timer bar on the windows intro screen scrolled 2 times and then booted into windows. Now after installing the basic drivers it scrolls for 14 times before booting into XP! What do you guys think? Do I need to reinstall all over again? Thanks
