    Hi Everyone,

Recently I have decided to try playing a game (minecraft :p) on my Envy 14. I have the latest F.06 BIOS, and I am running in Fixed Graphics mode. Since it does not run smoothly on the Intel HD 3000 (which is crash-free), I switch to the 6630M when I play. Just a minute or two into the game, the laptop freezes, but then after a few more seconds, the system is responsive again but I get a message saying "that the display driver has crashed but has recovered." Minecraft blanks out too with the crash, and I have to relaunch it. But the process simply repeats. I've tried both the 11.7 drivers and HP's official drivers, but neither resolve the problem. Has anyone had this problem? It bugs me that HP is having this many problems after a half-baked launch, especially on their premium line. :(

Sorry to say that it just sounds to me like you're gonna have to talk to HP about it. Feels like it's almost surely a driver problem unless there's something specific to Minecraft going on. Only other thing I can think of is to see if anybody else is having a similar issue with Minecraft specifically. I've played a few games and haven't run into a problem yet.
