I just did a clean install of Windows 7 (Professional) and I am having a horrible time with my wifi connection. Its so incredibly slow, its like I'm on crappy dial up again or worse. It seems like no matter which drivers I use I have the same issue. I have tried 14.0.0, 14.2.0.10, and whatever version was on the hp support/driver page. Help please!

Btw with ethernet, my speed seems normal.

Are other computers better or have you narrowed it down to the clean installed WiFi drivers?

Have you uninstalled the drivers from device manager, restarted, and reinstalled 14.0.0?

Reset router by unplugging for 10 seconds?

Right I'm also experiencing some trouble with my ISP in general, so I can't really check whether or not reinstalling helped or not. I will update when ISP troubles are resolved and I can actually test out the drivers.

Also before I was using the Driver+Software installer, not sure if that played a roll in anything. Now I am using the Driver only option for 14.0.0.

Driver only on 14.0.0 has worked well for me. The one after that didnt install a driver.

Could you tell me what your settings are for the drivers?

I did some testing and with '802.11n mode' disabled, I seem to be getting normal speeds. Its possible that will all the installing and uninstalling for Wifi drivers, especially with the Software, some settings were messed up and left.

Going to be swapping my router tomorrow, maybe that might help fix the problem.

Since disabling '802.11n mode' its been much better, but it should still work with out me having to do that right?

New routers really improved the speeds. I had a crappy b/g router that my ISP gave me by mistake instead of a n router. Without having to modify any of the driver settings like I had to do with the old router, I am getting normal speeds now.

Right now I'm running Ubuntu, and I'm getting good speeds with that too.
