    SD card reader - driver

    Hello everybody!
    I have HP nc8000 notebook with one thing that's bugging me. Transfer from the SD card reader is noticeable slower then from the photo camera and USB cable. Obviously camera reads SD card faster than the notebook. Is this hardware limitation or driver? I didn't notice any driver updates for nc8000 for SD card reader.
    Any suggestion?

    ive got the same problem too, or one like it, since i got my laptop, ive never used the built in 5in1 reader, i went to put an old SD card in a few days ago and nothing happened. it just didnt do anything (there is no driver on the compaq website)

    Samwise, try this driver; I have basically the same PC as you, and I found this one a few weeks back -- it works for me.
