    SDXC in Envy 15 card slot?

    Has anyone attempted to use the card slot to access an SDXC card?

    yes, at the moment only 32GB and 64GB flavors are available, but the maximum possible capacity of the format is limited to 2TB.

    If I understand correctly, SDHC devices will only support the SDXC cards which use UHS104 speeds and the slower SD 3.0 spec. SDHC devices will not recognize SDXC cards which use the faster SD 4.0 spec.

    I'm looking at several SDXC cards but I would like to confirm that the Envy can actually read/write to it before buying.

    yes, I've certainly encountered some misguided HP reps in my time. However, it is somewhat more comforting to have it in writing from the chat transcript email.

    Windows Update has some type of update for reading SD cards above 32GB. I don't know if the actual reader in the Envy phsically supports the SDXC standard.
