At the start up screen, I get:
"SMART Failure Predicted on Hard Disk 2
WARNING: Immediately back up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent.
Press F1 to continue."
So I am wondering whether my hard drive will crash or not. If it truly crashes, a reformat can't solve it Any ideas?

backup quickly man, my sister Compaq was giving this error a few months ago and it kept on working for abt 3 months so she thought it was nothing, the suddenly the drive failed and all of her stuff was lost....that was especially bad as she had all of her GCSE IT past papers on it and stuff
oh and a reformat wont help, cuz i tried it, but the Hard drive aint even detected by the computer, she had the exact same error message as u -
SMART errors are usually very accurate...the drive WILL die. Soon.
Save all data and then get a new drive. -
There are two kinds of hard drives:
Those that have already crashed.
Those that are going to crash. -
Thanks guys.
