    Hello my friends...
    i am here to buy a used one laptop HP-COMPAQ 9105. It is supposed to have AMD 2800 Mobile (1,6GHZ)

    But...
    when i go to the SYSTEM information in Control panel i see:

    HP
    AMD Athlon(tm) XP Processor
    2800+
    398MHZ (when in POWER i see 798MHZ)
    256 RAM


    Is that ok???
    Why only 798MHZ when i am in POWER ????
    Is that a problem???
    Please anwser me asap.
    (in the bios i CAN see that the prosseccor is 1,6GHZ)

    (on the plastic tab says that it has ATHLON Xp-M) that means mobile??

    Windows clock speed display is broken for AMD CPUs. I don't know why Microsoft hasn't fixed it, even in SP2.
