I've installed an SSD and moved my HDD to the optical bay slot. I remember reading that when the disk drive activity light turns orange it's that the laptop has detected motion and it's preventing writing form occurring. Now that I've put an SSD into the primary bay I notice that light doesn't come on anymore.

Am I still getting the protection on my HDD in the optical slot? Is it better to keep the HDD in the primary bay and put the SSD in the opitcal?
