My HDX currently has 2x256mb drives in it.
I am curious how much of a performance increase I would see if I upgraded to a SSD drive. I am current looking at:
Newegg.com - Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Couple questions:
1) Will this drive work?
2) Is there any special I need to know with mounting this drive in the current drive slot?
3) Anything I need to know / or purchase to get it to work / mount?
4) Is there anything better than this in the 64gb I should be considering or is this overkill for what the system can handle (in regards to data transfer rates not capacity)?
5) The read and write times on the drives, what can or can't the HDX handle? If it cant handle the newer speeds maybe I can afford a slower 128gb ssd?
Thanks, I am looking forward to anyones opinions and or recommendations.

SATA II is the max it can handle. That means up to 285MB/s. A drive with higher speed capability will be capped at that speed read-wise.
There's nothing else you need to know about an SSD as far as mounting, etc. It's just like a HDD in that regard.
The performance increase will be VERY noticeable with any SSD you choose.
