As you may know Intel just released the new 120gb X25-m. the problem is i really dont know which one to get. i was looking at the OCZ vertex 2 and Agility and even the Kingston SSD NOW V. They are all priced around the same area. i was just wondering which you think is the best for a 120 gb sized SSD around that price range.

Also, i own a HP ENVY 14 BEATS Edition and im pretty nooby and not 100% sure how to move all of my stuff onto the SSD once i get it and also the best way of installing it. and how to remove that awful 20gb recovery partition. :)

    Thanks a Million

It's hard to go wrong with most recent SSDs. Anything based on the Intel X25-M G2, Sandforce, or Micron C300 controller is going to be fine.

The Corsair Force, G.Skill Phoenix Pro, Intel X25-M G2 120 / 160GB, or Crucial C300 drives are all good picks. While many swear by them, I'm personally staying away from anything OCZ makes as I've seen far too many complaints lately.

    1. Create your recovery media, either onto DVDs or a USB stick. Some people suggest copying out a data file that stores your application settings, I can't remember which file that is. I didn't and it's fine. Transfer all the files you want to keep onto your external hard disk.

    2. Replace your hard disk with the instructions found in your user manual.

    3. Run your recovery media when you boot up. No recovery partition will be created.

    4. Transfer your backed up files into your SSD.

    5. Enjoy your SSD :)

The recovery media take up 5 DVD's. You can create them using the recovery manager.

Open the Start Menu and type recovery media creation, it should show the correct program.

Just prepare 5 blank DVD's (double layer is NOT support though)

I ordered a Patriot Inferno 120gb (uses the SF-1222 controller). I'll let everyone know how that goes when it gets here. It's gotten good reviews (As pretty much all sf-1200 based drives have). Someone else on here got a vertex 2 (also uses sf-1200) and it sounds like he's had good success with it with some tweaking...
