I went down to JB-HIFI today, (Bundall and Pacific Fair) they have the new 17" pavilion on sale right now, the specifactions are:

    - i7 2720QM 2.2 GHZ
    - 8 GB ram
    - 2TB hard drive
    - Blu-ray +R/RW with SuperMulti DVD+R/RW
    - 802.11 b/g/n + Bluetooth
    - Ati Radeon 6570 1GB dedicated
    - Webcam
    - Windows Home 7 Premium
    - External USB TV-tuner

    for 2163$ (AUD)

Looks like a pretty good deal considering what you get with it, doesn't mention the speed of the drives but I'm guessing 5400rpm. It also does not show the display, but I looked at the model and I think its 1600x900. They have the older pavilions 15" and 17" on sale too, so its looks like a good time to upgrade or snatch a bargain.

Just wanted to let everybody know at NBR cause you guys are awesome!

    (All prices are Australian dollars)

Now I wish I would have waited 6 weeks to buy my dv7se.......oh well.

Got mine at a great price, but i would have spent a couple of hundred dollars more to get a much faster computer with the latest CPU/GPU.

Yea, the price is a bit extreme though I think the base model in America is roughly 1,000 - 1,100$ The older model is still a extremely capable machine, the only boost really is the battery life from the SB processor and marginally increased graphics.

I just wanted to point it out to everyone here.
