    May 8 is the supposed release date for Intel...which means lots of manufacturers will be hitting the street with the upgraded goods on that date.

    Any word on the HP laptops?

    It's the new chipset/motherboard design that allows FSB (front side bus) speeds of up to 800MHz, which releases some of the bottleneck of current CPUs since they're limited to 667MHz. The Core 2 Duos (higher-end, anyway) are designed to take advantage of that FBS speed as well.

    Nope, no set date as of yet but you can expect to see them very soon after. I will know myself sometime in May after Santa Rosa is officially released. They will not be the same dv6000's and dv9000's though they will be a new series, however will continue on with the styling of latter dv series.
