I have been lurking in the background for a few weeks now doing research for my wife's new laptop. She is returning to nursing school and it is required for her classes.

Thanks to all the help from members here, we have just ordered an R3000z off of eBay.

AMD XP-M +3000, 15.4 non-brightview (no glare for working in classrooms), 768 mb RAM, 420 grpahics card, 60 MB drive, DVD/CD-RW, Targus Backback, and an un-activated 12 month warranty for $775 shipped.

We needed to really be conscious of price since she just got laid off in December. We were going to order a stripped down R3000z from Compaq using my company discount (EPP) but I found this deal on eBay and jumped on it. What do you think?

Anyhow, I'll be around here helping when I can and asking for help when I need it...

    See ya around!
