I've been using my new dv6000t for a couple of weeks now, and one thing I've noticed that's a little annoying is that I get a constant screen flicker while I'm recharging my battery. It's not a hard flicker (the screen never goes black, I mean), more like a rapid fluctuation between slightly higher and lower brightness settings, but it is noticeable and constant for the entire duration of the charging cycle.
When I'm plugged in and fully charged, it's fine. When I'm on batteries, it's fine (for the hour and a half the battery lasts). But while it's charging, it flickers, and it doesn't seem to matter what brightness setting I use. My AC adapter plug seems tight, so I don't think that's the cause.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this just an HP thing I'll have to get used to? (My Dell laptops never did this.) Could this be Vista- or driver-related? Is there something I can adjust on my power settings or BIOS to fix this? Or is this a sign of a bigger problem that I should return the computer over?

same thing happening to me with my compaq v6000t. i started a thread about it, but got no reply. for me though, its only the left hand of the screen that does this. i sent the lappy into compaq to repair a few months ago, but it didnt solve anything. im thinking of returning it again and hoping that its finally fixed :confused2:
does it resemble something like this?? http://www.laptopblog.org/entry/macbooks-plagued-by-flickering-screen-problem/ watch the video towards the end.
