I have an problem with my tx2z: when it boots up from cold, the screen looks as it does in the pictures. After it's been on for a while, and reboot it, the display is fine.

Even when the display has the problem, connecting via VNC is fine.

I took off the keyboard and switch cover according to the maintenance manual, and tried to re-seat the screen cable connection, which had no positive effect.

Is there a known cause for this? My machine's out of warranty, and I am not afraid to attempt a fix on my own.
