    Hi guys.

I've got a "small" issue with my 9225.

I left all the decals in when I bought it, no biggie, including the flip up quickplay/mobile stereo/remote decal, which I taped down so it would not "flop" around.

Just yesterday I noticed what I thought were screen scratches & under further inspection were not, but appeared to be "rubs" in the screen that coincide with the quickplay flip decal location when teh notebook is closed.

So my question is now that the scenario is out of the way, since my screen is not scratched, what would you guys recommend to buff away the rubs on my screen?

It's not visible when the monitor is on, but is visible when the monitor is darkened or off.

    Thanks.

If cleaning with eyeglass cleaning solution doesn't help, you can try using one of those screen protectors off e-bay that hide scratches/marks.

is it a glossy screen?? if so go get some extra fine plexiglass compound. this is super fine and is what they use to take scratches (very slight fine ones kinda like swirl marks) out of plexiglass ive used it on screens before and it works great

I have had some luck on PDA screens using a product called "Displex".

I found it on though a web search, and after reading many forum posts.

It is interesting on how it works (see the site). Its also pricey.

I take no responsibility for recommending this for your use.

Do you guys think that the notebook screens should have some sort of protective coating put on? Kinda like the screen covers they have for a tablet pc? or would you say that the screens hold up pretty good to most normal stuff?

Those must've been "bulging" stickers to cause that type of scratches! The frame of the LCD is a little recessed so how did that happen? Sure it's not adhesive and not scratches?

    Thanks for the tips guys!
I did try before i read the replies some very fine auto swirl remover which I guess was too fine as it did nothing.

And yeah, all responsibility for advice given is absolved! ;)

It is the one large black one I mentioned.

I've had the notebook since the day Vista was released & as you know, moving your hands around the keyboard your hands will "catch" the corners of the flip up decal & it will bend 7 wrinkle & never lay flat again.

It flipped up enough to where I guess it started rubbing against the screen.
