I'm going to buy a HP DV6-3040ec (HP Pavilion dv6-3040ec 15.6" HD BV LED, Intel Core i5-450M 2.4GHz, 3 MB, 4 GB, 500 GB, DVDRW LS, ATI Radeon HD5650), but I'm also thinking on replacing the stock screen with a HD+ one.

    1. Can it be done without voiding the warranty?
    2. What screen model is the best, or similiar to HP's Radiance display? (I really want good color reproduction, and high contrast)

    Thanks.

I'm extremely interested in this as well. A nice high resolution screen is not that expensive (less than $90) so it's definitely worth the upgrade, and makes you wonder why the manufacturer couldn't shell out the few extra dollars to upgrade it.

No, if you replace the screen, you void the warranty.

Ok, but is it even possible?

It is possible, but still void the warranty
