Yesterday my laptop (hp pavilion dv6000) was fine. I made it hibernate and then when I went to turn it on today the lights on the keyboard come on but the screen doesn't come on. There aren't any sounds of Windows starting up. The hard drive makes noise for a second or two and the fan comes on for a bit and then nothing. Lights are on but the screen stays black.

    Try this:
    Remove ac adapter
    Remove battery
Hold down power button for 30 seconds
Insert ac adapter (keep battery out)
    Try turning on the computer

I have tried this multiple times and didn't have any luck. This was the only thing I found when I was looking for a way to fix it.
