Had a loose screen connection on my HP Pavillion G7 (image disppeared when screen was moved to certain positions).

    So took apart laptop.

Didn't change anything (couldn't find screen connector).

    Put everything back together.

Now, laptop still works BUT don't see anything on screen.

Can see everything when connecting laptop to monitor.

What did I screw up and how do I fix it?

LCD Cable itself is probably broken inside. When you moved display, it would connect/disconnect. Now the cable is totally dead.
Good thing is that the cable is really cheap compared to most other components, so it's worth replacing.

Connectors are on motherboard and behind the LCD panel. You'll find them in the service manual at least.
