    OK so my problems are:

    -whine with the 450i5

-broken hp logo light on the back of the LCD screen

    -unflush track pad.

i called HP repair and there sending me a box to send my envy 14 out and told me that they could fix the logo light on the back (i guess replace the whole lcd screen?)

and also told me that they would replace the CPU and replace the track-pad.

does anyone have any experience with HPs repair service? if there any good?
or should i just deal with it and suck it up cuz i really do love this laptop, but i also really want it to be perfect.

    thanks!

why dont you exchange it? isn't it new?

i wouldn't send in a new laptop that came in messed up to repair.
i would request a exchange or
just get a refund (what did, my envy also came in with a screwup logo.)

there was a someone in this forum who sended their envy15 for repair and he got it back all dented up as if some pryed it open with a crowbar. i wouldn't trust hp.

    Oh my ?!?
    Dam................... That's a little scary..

Hmmm but I have a plan..
I'm trying to avoid the whole return exchange thing cuz I don't wanna be last on the production line again.

Right now I'm on my 5th day of 21 to still return it/exchange it.

So I'll send my comp to repair (taking pictures and videos of how it is before I send) get it back in the 21 day window, and if they F'ed anything up then I'll raise hell, ask for a new one + compensasion then exchange it.

    Good plan?
