Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum and I hope it will be useful.

As you know, all HP/Compaq service manuals are available from their website but it's hard to find them. I compiled a list of HP/Compaq manuals so they can be accessed very easily.

Simply find your laptop line in the list below, select the model number and download the service manual. That's it!

    Here it is:

    HP service guides:
    HP Pavilion Notebook
    HP Compaq Notebook
    HP G Notebook
    HP Mini
    HP Notebook
    HP 500 Notebook
    HP EliteBook Notebook
    HP ENVY Notebook
    HP HDX Notebook
    HP ProBook Notebook
    HP Special Edition Notebook
    HP TouchSmart Notebook
    HP Mobile Thin Clients
    HP Tablet PCs

    Compaq service guides:
    Compaq Presario
    Compaq Mini
    Compaq Notebook

    Hope it helps someone!

You will not believe how many people asking for HP disassembly instructions on laptop repair sites.

It's not hard if you know where to search.
    1. You have to click many times to get to the manual.
    2. Not all manuals listed in right places.

For example, let's say you have a HP G71 notebook. Try searching for a manual for this one. Can you find it? Nope. Because there is no manual listed for this model. But if you go to Compaq Presario CQ71 you'll find it because CQ71 is identical to G71. Most regular users don't know that.
