Hi, Is there any program that I can download that will set a timer when my laptop should shut down.

I'm downloading a file from rapidshare and I want to set the laptop to turn off in 5 hours. How would I go about that. Thanks

The best I can think of is to go to the windows power management settings, and have it set to hibernate after 5 hours. As far as the machine actually shutting down... I have no idea.

    That sucks.

There has got to be a program that can do that. It's a pretty simple thing. Kinda like a task manager. Oh well, I'll keep looking. Thanks for the help anyway

You can use a download manager, like Flashget, and there's an option to turn off your computer when the download completes. I use Flashget all the time with that feature, and it works great.

Btw, Flashget works with almost all websites, even Rapidshare. There's even an option where you can enter your login/password. Make sure to click on Advance to see the options.

I'm looking for that feature also. In XP it's in the bios. Where you can set a time and date for your computer to turn on and off. But i didnt see it on my dv9650. Anybody know where this feature is in the bios.
