I've got my dv7tqe (dv7-6000) set up with an old Dell 2001FP monitor. I use an extended desktop with the Dell as the primary display and the notebook screen as the secondary display. Works great except for one thing.

I'd like to use the Dell monitor in portrait mode, but I don't see the option for screen rotation anywhere. I suspect that this isn't possible with an extended desktop, but does anyone have a similar setup and is able to run an external monitor in portrait mode?

The two DV6's I got in the past month are the only windows PC's in many years that I've owned that DON'T have portrait mode. I contacted HP--they have no answer, other than "no, the graphics drivers don't support portrait". Crazy, but true. Just like the BS about the switchable graphics. what a mess. (I ended up sending both back for refund, but lack of portrait mode was the least of my problems)
